With this I then dyed some
silk with a mixture of browns and greens to replicate the turtle shell effect,
I also added ‘rock’ salt to add a grainy surface element to the fabric. I also
made some felt to replicate the surface effect on the turtle shell as well. I
think in menswear especially, the texture and print of the fabric is the most
important part because the ability to make a statement is vital.
